Maxfield Baker, LMT

San Marcos massage therapist offering $50/hr massage
San Marcos LMT Maxfield Baker “I’ve lived in San Marcos, TX since 2007 and love this town. I hope to use massage to enrich my community by offering delivery massage for $50/hr and offering free chair massage events around town. “

Maxfield Baker, LMT, graduated the Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage’s 500 hour program and focused on deep and orthopedic approaches. His work in the student clinic rewarded him several return clients and high evaluations on each massage. Maxfield mixes his knowledge of anatomy with his years of customer service expertise to educate and assure his clients that they are in good firm hands throughout the session.

Prior to entering the massage therapy field, Maxfield received his bachelors degree from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX as a double major in Anthropology and Political Science, which he then used to work in human resources for several years. Over the course of this time Maxfield sharpened his emotional intelligence and focused on creating positive interactions with his peers while staying involved in the city he now calls home. It is his keen sense of listening to the clients words and their bodies that propels Maxfield’s work, where the only goal is to hear their words and sighs of relief as their tension melts away.

Massage is for the body, and the brain.

It is important to understand the role our nervous system plays in the tension that our bodies hold and often we find that mental stress is the cause of a physical blockage. As a student of the Lauterstein Deep Method, Maxfield embraces the school of thought that for a massage to be effective, it takes work from both the client and therapist to meet at interface to achieve greater effects. When we engage our physical tension with mindfulness, we better understand its cause and can thus manage its propensity.

Often times clients approach massage from a “no pain, no gain” perspective, and while depth is helpful in relieving stress, it is a place that must be worked towards. Maxfield’s knowledge of anatomy allows him to navigate the muscular system and find specific points of tension, which addresses their radiating effects. However, to achieve depth in the body, the nervous system must relax, allowing the pressure to travel more effectively.

Using various modalities, Maxfield tailors every massage to the individual client, and works within their comfort zone to achieve their desired results. Whether it’s a mind melting or tension melting massage you’re looking for, Maxfield’s Melting Massage is ready to help you leave your tension on the floor. Book a massage September 1st through October 31st and save some money and some peace of mind!

I graduated Texas State University with a double major in Anthropology and Political Science with an interest in local politics. Currently I am an active member of the San Marcos community, and became a licensed massage therapist to further that involvement. I attended the Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage in Austin, Texas, completed their 500 hour program, and became licensed as of September 2017. While I am a relatively new therapist, clients have suggested I deliver a world class massage, and I look forward to helping you with your relaxation or pain needs.
